History of FilterWorks, USA
Filterworks USA was founded by Gregg Strandberg in 1988 to provide air conditioning and paint booth filtration services to south Florida businesses. In 1990, Filterworks became a distributor for Garmat USA, the nation’s leading spray booth manufacturer. Since Filterworks USA’s alignment with Garmat, Filterworks has been one of Garmat’s top 3 North American distributors for 25 years in a row, including 10 years at number 1.
The Filterworks team has installed over 1,500 paint booths within the southeast United States. Filterworks USA is the exclusive Garmat distributor for Florida, Georgia, and east Tennessee. In 2008, Filterworks became a licensed general and mechanical contractor in the state of Florida.
In 2010, Filterworks became the exclusive Florida distributor for Car-O-Liner, the industry leader in frame, measuring, and welding equipment for the automotive collision repair industry. Since the hire of Bob Zelano- a long-time industry veteran, ASE Master Technician, and award-winning I-CAR instructor- to run Filterworks USA’s Car-O-Liner division in 2014, Filterworks has been a top performer for Car-O-Liner and a go-to training resource for customers across the state.

In 2018, Filterworks opened a dedicated Car-O-Liner training facility, providing collision centers throughout Florida with a convenient route to gain I-CAR certifications and industry-best training on today’s collision repair techniques. Filterworks is a leading paint booth filter supplier in the southeast USA as well, featuring next-day deliveries on most common paint booth filtration products.

Gregg Strandberg
President
Gregg Strandberg founded Filterworks USA in 1988 as an air conditioning and paint booth filter service provider for south Florida businesses. Since then, Gregg has grown Filterworks – now a licensed general and mechanical contractor with over 35 full-time employees, to be the leading layout & design, capital equipment, and service provider to the automotive collision repair industry in the southeast United States.
Gregg’s industry connections across the country run deep, and he is consistently regarded as the industry leader in collision facility design and equipment.
Gregg graduated from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a degree in marketing in 1987.

Bob Zelano
Director of Car-O-Liner Operations
Bob Zelano joined the Filterworks team in 2014 as Director of Car-O-Liner operations. Bob joined Filterworks following a 15-year stint with Allstate Insurance in various field leadership positions. Bob has over 40 years in the collision repair industry, is regarded across the country as a technical leader in the collision repair industry, and holds the following industry certifications and honors:

- Certified I-CAR Instructor (Since 1998)
- I-CAR Welding Test Administrator (Since 2005)
